| Description: A series of studies for mural-scale paintings, these images are "collaged" diptychs. The line drawings use the free association method to derive images from my imagination, and the result of the drawing and painting are similar to the Surrealist method of "Fantastic Corpse". They have affinities with W.S. Burroughs "cut-up" method of writing. There is a definite figure ground. These drawings are also "expansion" drawings in that the imagery is also developed from digital prints of earlier work. |
